That looks like white sand! I know from the other pictures below that it is snow, but i want to run through that "sand" and throw a pretty towel on top of it and lay down on it and enjoy the sunshine.
Those shots are amazing... such blue skies... such dazzzlingly white snow... they say you havta be there to appreciate unique colorations but I disagree... why on earth else do fash photographers secure such luridly high travel budgets to places such as Nagibian Desert // whatever it's called ... etc... just because of "quality of light" ... o! I geddit! Because of expenses-pd free travel!
I suppose I could mention the location. It is Penobscot bay as seen from Belfast, is on the east coast of Maine. Part of the Atlantic Ocean. The land masses in the background are islands.
I live in bELFAST Maine, with my cat Munchy, my one eyed dead cat Yokai, and my other dead cat, Cayo.
Life is weird and so am I.
My photos are on this site. Although, these daze I spend more time posting on Instagram. It's so dang easy.

i can just see how cold it is there.
Who's up for a swim?
It's rather disconcerting to see open water like that with all the snow. I'm used to lakes and rivers which of course freeze over. Brilliant shots.
