Land Schooner

This is where we spend our days off.
The planks are for easy access from the house.
There is always sun or shade available.
It's amazing how refreshing it is to dangle your legs in the cool water.
We set sail rain or shine.
Paradise is where you make it!

Hell's A Poppin'

Dandy Jalapeno Poppers

I actually bought these jalapenos for Cinco de Mayo but knowing they were labor intensive I just never got around to them. Luckily they stayed fresh and here is the results. If I had known they would turn out so awesome I would have documented the construction as well.

All I did was split the peppers up to them stem, where I left them connected like a hinge, then I Stuffed them with cream cheese. Next I used a simple dry/wet/dry method of breading them. I used flour/eggs/bread crumbs. Then I put them on a tray in the freezer and forgot about them for a couple hours.  (By the way, this is a pretty hands on project so if you have some plastic food handlers gloves, this is the time to break em out!)

I can't believe I've been buying these pre-made up til now. Freshness Rocks! And because they are so huge I only needed a couple to set my innards on fire. Plus I now have a supply in the freezer for the next time I want some spontaneous combustibles.
Aye Carumba!
